In 1991, Ta Tung aluminium broke through the technology at the time and became the first company to launch a "new patented aluminium window with removable inner sash" that could take into account the safety of buildings, which greatly improved the safety of cleaning building glass. Subsequently, we also launched products such as 870 series, 1270 series, 896 series, 1096 series and Athens series, which with the most window types developed and the largest sales volume in Taiwan.
Ta Tung aluminium on the Global Stage with Innovative Design and Weather-Resistant Technology
As Taiwan’s aluminium door and window market has moved toward more sophisticated demands, Ta Tung aluminium has invested heavily in R&D to create products that are both high-performance and visually refined. In 2011, the company received the prestigious German iF Product Design Award – the so-called “Oscar of Industrial Design” – becoming the first Taiwanese aluminium brand to earn this honor. To further enhance durability, Ta Tung collaborates with National Tsing Hua University on extrusion structure and strength analysis, and with ITRI on advanced, anti-fouling surface coatings. These efforts led to high weather-resistant coated aluminium profiles that have obtained the Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Development Bureau’s NanoMark Usage Certificate.
