Cleaning Method:
- Use a soft, clean cloth for cleaning.
- The general cleaning method for aluminium doors and windows is to wash with clean water and then wipe dry with a cloth.
- When the surface is dirty:
- Anodizing:Dilute a neutral detergent in warm water to make a 3-5% water-soluble solution. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with the solution. Then wipe clean with water and dry with a cloth.
- Powder Coating:Use commercially available water-based wax. Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with the wax to maintain shine.
- When there are dirt on the surface, do not use metal tools or blades to forcibly remove dirt adhering to the aluminium door and window surface.
- When the surface is stained with water, glue, oil, etc., which are difficult to wipe clean, you can use a stain remover; however, never use organic solvents such as toluene or gasoline, as these may dissolve the coating or clear varnish on the aluminium door and window surface.
- Currently, most aluminium window frames are stepped. When there is dirt in the grooves under the aluminium window frame, it can be cleaned with a long-bristled brush (paintbrush).
- Mesh can be cleaned with a long-bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner.
- When cleaning aluminium doors and windows, never stand on the aluminium frame or pull on it for support. This can easily cause damage of the door and window frames and even lead to accidents.
Maintenance:
- Every six months, clean the grooves at the joints of the window sashes and the sliding tracks to prevent dust and sand from affecting the function of the hardware. A soft-bristled brush or vacuum cleaner can be used for cleaning.
- Every six months, inspect the hardware of aluminium doors and windows, tighten bolts promptly, and replace any damaged parts.
- If aluminium doors and windows rust due to oxidation, gently scrape off the rust with a knife, wash with soapy water, dry with a cloth, apply wax oil, and then polish with a dry cloth for a smooth, new-looking finish. Every six months, lubricating oil can be applied to the rotating, sliding, and screw hole parts of the hardware. After applying the lubricating oil, repeatedly open and close the door several times to maintain the flexibility of the hardware and extend its lifespan.
- When using aluminium doors and windows, handle them gently and push and pull smoothly. If resistance is encountered during opening and closing, never pull or push forcefully and first troubleshoot the problem.
